I participated in the Young Solar Challenges 2017 and 2018 with my high school team. We built a full electric solar-powered raceboat. Customized designs, engineering partners, and great team effort resulted in the 1st place during one of race weekends competing against other high schools!

Our team was the first of our school to participate in this challenge, so we pioneered a lot to find the best engineering results for the boat. Also, managing the team including partner acquisition and team meetings was new to me. This project at a young age was learnful and a life changing experience for all of us!

The Water Is Life conference is being held every two years with hundreds of participating high-schools! Together with a high-school peer, I took part in the 2018 Tokio edition, hosted by Shibuya Kyoiku Gakuen. We presented our engineering design concept, proposing a technical water dam solution to manage the drainage system in a medieval village while keeping a peaceful environment for inhabitants and animals.

The 2018 Tokio conference introduced us to the water systems around the Tokio Bay together with meeting the Japanese culture and all different high-school peers from around the world! We presented our drainage solution to the local university and conference board means a presentation and fair. This experience was helpful to gain knowledge about the international urge to connect and tackle world-wide problems together with collaboration and sharing of ideas.

With six other enthusiastic 1st year Lucid members, we organized the 2021 Luski Intro Week! We managed to organize a week full of fun activities for intro “kids” and “parents”. This required structured meetings, partnerships and a joyful perspective on the TU/e intro week.
